this is one of good comic book for children that i really loved.
i knew it from a friend of mine about 6 years ago, back when i was still in college.
Her name is Kak M. She was an assistant lecturer of Matematic department. when i visited her at her dorm, her room was full with many kinds of books, and oddly not only academic references book but she collected stacks of comic books (asterix & tintin sort of comic not elex media type) at the corner of her study desk.
one of it was 'Monica and Friends' by Mauricio. She has no.1, 2, 3 and 7. I borrowed all of it for one night. And then that night, i fell in love with it.
Mauricio able to create such a beautiful but yet meaningfull comic. His drawings is simple and solid. most of its story is a message of joy, of social peace, natural ideology and no boundary of geographical barrier. For children it will be the first step to world peace.
